“Omkaara is better than the original Othello,” claimed actress Kareena Kapoor in a Mumbai Tabloid. Maybe Bebo Baby hasn’t heard about the flak received by her co-star Vivek Oberoi for making the same statement in Cannes Film Festival.

Apart from this blooper, there is definitely a greater level of maturity in the Junior Kapoor these days as she is not saying yes to any-n-every film that comes her way. Still, she continues to put her foot in her mouth once in a while. You want another proof….OK…Taste This: “Shahid would be on top in another four to five years.” Now, Shahid has had a decent year with two of his films ‘36 China Town’ and ‘Chup Chup Ke’ doing reasonably well at the box office. And he most certainly wouldn’t want to wait for five years to reach the top. He would want it to happen much sooner than that. Isn’t it!

There’s no doubting the fact that Kareena and Shahid share a special bond. A bond that not too many filmi couples exhibit. Be it the long shopping sessions during the ‘Rockstars’ concerts in US, the frequent long dinner dates in Mumbai or watching movies together. And that too in movie theatres.

The most recent film they watched: ‘Golmaal-Fun Unlimited’. Did they like it? Well, they loved it! For Kareena told Ajay Devgan (While shooting a promotional video for ‘Omkaara’ in Film City) about the great time she had while watching the film. Work wise, Kareena only has her Helen act in ‘Don’ to look forward to where she will be cavorting to ‘Yeh Mera Dil Pyaar Ka Deewana’. She may also be doing Soham Shah’s next for Karan Johar’s banner. I think Kareena Kapoor is entering the best phase of her career as an actress. Hopefully she will prove this right with ‘Omkaara’.
